The Virtual Alpz Network


The Virtual Alpz Network is a non-profit visionary project by Belder Interactive Vrtl. aimed at joining digital art and terrain modeling to render photo-surrealistic images of the alpine region. We play Gods handling elevation data and ecosystem rules to replicate, simulate, clone and generate natural landscapes.

We want to fly hi and look from above, trek into forgotten valleys and look from beneath, admire our mighty mountains with and without infrastructures, road scars, hydro dams and ugly skiing artifacts. Crtl-Z is our power: while greedy developers irreparably attack the Alps, we'll show the impacts and undo them digitally.
